Nachster AI is the AI infrastructure business of Nachster Energy Co., Ltd. Since it was founded in 2020 the parent has worked on the spread of clean energy through investment in solar plants and battery storage stations, alongside a real-estate and a trading business. An AI data centre is the continuation of that, not a departure from it.

We have built this company around renewable-energy investment and trading, in order to create a sustainable future. Our commitment has not changed: to promote clean energy through investment in solar plants and battery storage stations, and to contribute to a low-carbon society.
The largest new source of energy demand in Japan today is AI. Training and inference are, in the end, the business of turning electricity into computation — at a scale that is an order of magnitude beyond a conventional data centre. Roughly 15 kW for a single node; several megawatts for a single cluster. Meeting that demand inside Japan takes more than buying GPUs. It takes secured power, secured land, and an organisation that keeps it running every hour of the year.
Two of those three are work we have been doing in practice for years. That is why we do not treat an AI data centre as a new line of business, but as the obvious continuation of what we already do.
